Since 2012, Blenker Boatworks and Marina has been a family owned and operated Insured, Full Service Repair Marina. Located at the mouth of the Manatee River between channel marker 7 & 8, we are within walking distance of the Historical DeSoto National Memorial Park, Robinson Preserve and just a few short miles from the white sandy beaches of Anna Maria Island. MEET THE TEAM
Lee Blenker – Owner
Lee was born and raised right here in Manatee County. He grew up in a boating family so naturally, after college he went to work with family owned Quality Marine Construction. In 2012 the Blenker family purchased the marina and did extensive renovations. After much time and hard labor, the marina was upgraded with new docks, boat lifts, and a large dry storage / service yard.
Lee is an active part of the local community. He and his fishing team ‘Sea Saw,’ participate in multiple fishing tournaments a year, all benefiting great causes. Lee & Blenker Boatworks and Marina also sponsor many local fundraisers and events throughout the year.
Everett Benjamin – Dock Master
Everett was also born and raised right here in Manatee County. He formally worked as a foreman in the construction field for high rise buildings. As a hobby, Everett began working on boat repairs, detailing and wood refinishing. He enjoyed it so much that he decided to join Blenker Boatworks and Marina in 2016 and has been a great addition to the team.
